DUBOSE WITH UVUBALTIMORE, MARYLAND - September 21 - The Maryland District AAU and UVU Sports + Performance announced an exciting collaboration today, aimed at creating exciting 3-on-3 basketball leagues and also hosting engaging basketball camps tailored specifically for Maryland's elementary and middle school-aged children.

This dynamic partnership also aims to nurture a vibrant basketball community within the state, fostering teamwork, good sportsmanship, and providing invaluable developmental opportunities for young athletes.

“We're thrilled to announce a groundbreaking partnership between UVU Sports + Performance and AAU of Maryland!" said Mitchell Trellis, Owner and General Manager.

"This collaboration promises a future filled with AAU-sanctioned events, top-tier skills and performance clinics, and competitive tournaments and leagues. Our vision goes beyond basketball, aiming to amplify opportunities for ALL AAU sports," Trellis said.

"We're honored to align with such a prestigious organization, and together, we foresee a horizon where young athletes have unparalleled access and opportunities to train, improve, and shine. Stay tuned for the next chapter of excellence and empowerment in youth sports. The future is bright, and it starts here!"

Bryan Hall, Super Bowl 47 Champion and UVU General Manager, chimed in: “I'm truly excited and honored to be aligning UVU Sports + Performance with Maryland AAU! Sports have played a major role in my life, and we are grateful for the opportunity to support all of AAU sports in Maryland through a multitude of ways! Let’s work!”

Benjamin DuBose, Maryland AAU Governor, met with Trellis and Hall recently to clarify the specifics and finalize this partnership with a handshake.

"Our latest partnership marks the dawn of unprecedented opportunities and competitive experiences for our young athletes," said DuBose.

"UVU Sports + Performance is set to become the ultimate destination where kids can undergo training, engage in competitions, and thrive in both AAU-licensed and non-licensed sporting events. Their state-of-the-art athletic facility is overseen by a highly knowledgeable and specialized staff, dedicated to staying at the forefront of modern sports training. The staff is outstanding, and this place is something to behold!”
"I am overjoyed by our collaboration with Mitchell, Bryan and the UVU organization. The advantages this merger will bestow upon our athletes are truly remarkable!” DuBose said enthusiastically.

"The newly established AAU/UVU "three-on-three" basketball leagues and clinics, born from this partnership, represent just the initial steps. UVU is well-equipped to provide support for an array of additional AAU sports,” he said. “I am thrilled to announce their willingness to collaborate with us in elevating every level of support offered to all sports and all athletes. With our new partnership, everybody wins!"

Three-on-three basketball is a dynamically fast-paced sport that is steadily gaining popularity. It presents a unique opportunity for more youngsters to engage in extended playtime while honing their skills, fostering teamwork, and bolstering their self-confidence. The skills acquired and the training received can seamlessly transition to traditional "five-on-five" basketball games should they choose to pursue them in the future.
