It's That Time of Year Again!

Greetings to All: Please see the important files and attachments at the end of this letter...

It’s time for us to come together and plan our Annual Awards Banquet for Outstanding Athletes/Coaches/Volunteers!

This year’s event will be held Sunday, November 13, 2016 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at the Martins-East Banquet Facility at 9000 Pulaski Highway, Baltimore, Maryland, 21220.
I have included in this email several attachments to help us jumpstart the process prior to our first planning meeting.  The first planning meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, 9/6/2016; 6:30pm at Morgan State University, Room 316.

Banquet Planning Booklet 

  • It is important that you read this booklet.  It contains all the pertinent information as relating to our banquet. Most of the answers to your questions will be found in this booklet.
  • Print this booklet and bring with you to our first meeting on Tuesday, 9/6/2016; 6:30 P.M. at Morgan State University

Award Distribution Sheet
Since numbers are not final until 8/31/2016, this information may change.  This information is included in the Banquet Planning Booklet

Awardees Information Spreadsheet 

  • Complete this spreadsheet with name format as: Fname MI Lname.  This name format prevents having to retype names on the Vendor List.
  • Due Date:  9/16/2016

Awardees Notification Letter  

  • Must be mailed to awardees by 9/23/16
  • Return Date from Awardees/Guest:  10/09/2016

Planning Sub-Committees
Several sub-committees have Lead-persons who are bolded on the Banquet Committee List (in Planning Booklet).  Prior to our first meeting, Lead-persons are to meet with those assigned to your committee to discuss your tasks and be prepared to make any recommendations for our upcoming banquet.  
Program Booklet
To ensure the highest quality printing, please submit “Camera-Ready” artwork. “Camera-ready” is “Camera-ready” – meaning what you submit is what will be printed.  If your ad is not “Camera-ready” then please include an additional $50 Graphic Design and Layout Fee and we will design your ad for you. 

Ads must be original, clear black and white or color print, and submitted in digital format (Adobe .PDF, Microsoft Publisher or Microsoft Word format) for best reproduction. 

For additional information, check the Banquet Planning Booklet.  Ads for the Program Booklet must be submitted by 10/14/2016.  
Guest Speaker
Be prepared to recommend a Guest Speaker for our banquet.
